"FRIDAY THE 13TH" CRAFT MARATHON

Only a couple more sleeps until our next craft marathon on Friday 13 August 2010 at Berowra Soccer Club (9am - whenever). Don't forget to bring along all your DIY craft gear/projects, a tablecloth, ice cream container for scraps/rubbish, food, drink, coffee mug (tea/coffee provided), warm slippers and maybe wear BLACK (optional). Show and tell is aways welcomed, so feel free to bring along any items you have been working on or completed. Please don't hesitate to contact me should you have any questions via gibbohome@bigpond.com

For those that haven't been to one of our fantastic craft marathon events, it's for people who enjoy working on a variety of crafts and love to come together once a school term to share their interest, laughs and ideas. There is no set workshop as everyone brings along their own projects and craft tools to create whatever they desire. Most of our craft ladies are into either scrapbooking or card making, however, we have had people come to work on their cross stitch, painting, cake decorating and even creating masterpieces on their laptops. The hall we use is relatively small so spaces are limited, therefore, bookings are required to secure your place. Our craft days are always on a Friday - 4 times a year.

What a great turn out to our last craft marathon day in Term 2. Hope you all enjoyed your time whether you were partaking in craft or popping in for a chat. There is always guaranteed great conversation and definitely inspiration. A huge thank you to Kirsten Butts for donating a bag of goodies each for all that attended the day - the above card was made using some of these things plus the new flourish stamp from Kaszazz which I love. Our next craft day in Term 3 will be FRIDAY THE 13TH OF AUGUST 9am - whenever.

Please email gibbohome@bigpond.com if you'd like to attend as tables are limited. First in best dressed, thereafter, you may need to supply your own table. Also I have added a new feature to this blog so you can now leave comments, so please feel free to ask questions about products and techniques used or just some feedback. Thanks!

Below you will see a couple of the cards I made at the last craft day. This first one is for my niece Bryony and her partner Brad for their engagement.

This last card was made for my old neighbour and good friend to welcome them into their new home. I wish you years of happiness Anne, Larry and family - we already miss you!
