A Piece of Cake

At our recent school fete a very crafty lady had made slices of paper cakes similar to these which were filled with chocolates. You could easily open the back of the cake as the flap was held down with a slim line magnet. SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT IDEAS

I recently purchased this book because it has some great scrapbooking layouts in both sketches and finished pages. As quoted from the book "Have you ever found yourself staring at a pile of photos, a few sheets of patterned paper and some cool embellishments, and say to yourself, NOW WHAT?". Having sketch ideas available is a great way to kick start your creativity whether you are just getting started in scrapbooking or you've been addicted for years, these ideas are sure to spark your imagination. Now wait for it .... there's a website which regularly updates it's sketch ideas. Check it out @ www.pagemaps.com

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TARA!

A-Z ALBUM IDEA by Marg

This is my favourite page from yesterday's Craft Marathon Event.
Want to start scrapbooking but don't know where to start, well thanks to an idea that came from Kaszazz you can create a themed album based on the alphabet. Your page layouts can be made by going through the alphabet. I've decided to make an album on all the interesting places my family have either visited or stayed at, ie. A = Abercrombie, B = Berowra, Batemans Bay, etc. For more ideas visit: www.kaszazz.com

VELLUM BACKGROUND IDEAS by Marg

I created these pages some time ago but thought I'd put them up as an example of how you can make your own background paper. I picked a them for each layout and using different fonts I printed my background onto vellum.

Happy Birthday to my son Ben who recently turned 12 ... I just can't help using my photos on cards mainly because it is so quick but personal.

CARDS By Jennie

Thank you Jennie for sharing these lovely cards that you have made using mostly Stampin' Up stamps. See how Jennie has altered the look of the card below by arranging the pattern paper and stars - what a great way to use offcuts. Jennie has also been busy creating some lovely scrapbook pages which I encourage her to bring along for show on Friday 15 May at Berowra Soccer Club as all ideas are most appreciated.

Another great idea from Jennie is to use an unused pizza box as it's size is perfect to store your completed 12x12 pages in or transport your cardstock to and from craft days. Thanks Jennie for the tip!
