Many people have shown an interest in wooden projects and are keen to learn how to apply scrapbooking paper to wooden letters, numbers or booklets, even chipboard pieces and alphabets. This Friday at our craft day I will show you how to create these interesting pieces. What you will need to complete a project is:
- MOD PODGE (waterbase sealer)
- WOODEN LETTER/s, NUMBER/s OR BOOKLET
- PAINT BRUSH OR SPONGE TO APPLY SEALER
- PRINTED SCRAPBOOK PAPER TO DECORATE
- RUB ONS
- EMBELLISHMENTS ie. ribbon, gems, flowers
- PENCIL AND SCISSORS
- SANDPAPER
- SHARP BLADE/CUTTING KNIFE
- CUTTING MAT
You should be able to purchase Mod Podge from either Spotlight, Riot or Catchy Crafts at Hornsby. Mod Podge is a waterbased sealer, glue and finish for all surfaces. You may wish to paint your item with a complimentary colour prior to applying the printed paper - this could be done on the day or prior.
