SUPERIMPOSED CARD IDEAS
SUPERIMPOSING (ie. an overlying image and/or putting one layer on top of the other) is a great way to become that celebrity you've always wanted to be, plus gives you a great photo to use on a special greeting card such as these cards. Computer software such as Adobe Photo Elements gives you the tools to create these images or, alternatively, you can cut, paste and, where possible, scan and print to get a similar result..jpg)

Check out http://www.photoshop.com/ for a test drive on different ways to edit your photos. There are lots of different and fun effects you can achieve using the online tools, such as the editing distortion tool - have you always wanted bigger breasts or a smaller nose? (Hehehe ... not me personally). Go on give it a go and please consider sharing via email any sample works for display on this webpage.
My son was invited to a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL PARTY so I decided to make a card to match the party theme by replacing Gabriella's face with the birthday girl's.
SCRAPBOOK LAYOUT IDEAS
Here are some pages from my A-Z holiday album which I hope to continue at our next craft marathon day on Friday 21 Aug 2009. Each double page layout has a main title page using the relevant letter for the place we have visited, then using a 12x12 pocket page which has six 6x4 sections for the second layout - I can just slip in the photos to match the title page or create a journaling or decorative pocket to enhance the main page.

USING COMPUTER SEARCH ENGINES FOR IDEAS
Have you ever found the time to make some greeting cards but are lost as to where to start? Try Googling CARDS and SCRAPBOOKING IDEAS. I found these card samples (above and below) which use a very simple layout which could be achieved with a variety of other stamps and patterned or printed paper. (Creator unknown)
A Piece of Cake
At our recent school fete a very crafty lady had made slices of paper cakes similar to these which were filled with chocolates. You could easily open the back of the cake as the flap was held down with a slim line magnet. Check out this link for futher information. http://cateredcrop.typepad.com/lmacs_catered_crops/2008/05/oh-yummers---chocolate-cake-box.html
SCRAPBOOKING LAYOUT IDEAS
I recently purchased this book because it has some great scrapbooking layouts in both sketches and finished pages. As quoted from the book "Have you ever found yourself staring at a pile of photos, a few sheets of patterned paper and some cool embellishments, and say to yourself, NOW WHAT?". Having sketch ideas available is a great way to kick start your creativity whether you are just getting started in scrapbooking or you've been addicted for years, these ideas are sure to spark your imagination. Now wait for it .... there's a website which regularly updates it's sketch ideas. Check it out @ www.pagemaps.comCRAFT MARATHON UPDATE

If you have something to share please feel free to scan and email it to me c/- gibbohome@bigpond.com
A-Z ALBUM IDEA by Marg
This is my favourite page from yesterday's Craft Marathon Event.
Want to start scrapbooking but don't know where to start, well thanks to an idea that came from Kaszazz you can create a themed album based on the alphabet. Your page layouts can be made by going through the alphabet. I've decided to make an album on all the interesting places my family have either visited or stayed at, ie. A = Abercrombie, B = Berowra, Batemans Bay, etc. For more ideas visit: www.kaszazz.comVELLUM BACKGROUND IDEAS by Marg

CARDS By Jennie
Thank you Jennie for sharing these lovely cards that you have made using mostly Stampin' Up stamps. See how Jennie has altered the look of the card below by arranging the pattern paper and stars - what a great way to use offcuts. Jennie has also been busy creating some lovely scrapbook pages which I encourage her to bring along for show on Friday 15 May at Berowra Soccer Club as all ideas are most appreciated.
