ROSA created some excellent STORAGE CONTAINERS to store her craft tools in by covering some old cans. Why not try this by covering some old tomato cans using scrapbook paper, gift wrap, photos, contact or even wallpaper. Thanks so much for sharing this idea, well done Rosa!
LADIES NIGHT IN by Marg, Marcia & Gina
I recently got to spend some time with my lovely friends MARCIA and GINA and the following cards are what each of us created. Starting with mine, I continued to create some cards with my cute funky new stamps. I also made a pop up soccer card (thanks to a technique Marcia shared). Using the owl template idea (as seen further down in this blog), I made a CAT- thanks Anne for the suggestion, I think I can even see a cute possum in that template!
MARCIA made the following lovely cards plus used the templates to create a Babushka Doll, Penguin and Cat. Very cute!
Thanks to ideas passed on by Marcia, GINA used these techniques to create the following beautiful cards. STUNNING!
TEMPLATE & PUNCH CARDS
Using BASIC TEMPLATES and CRAFT PUNCHES I made the below his and her OWLS - thanks to my good friend Marcia for sharing this cool idea. These cards open up and a second vest becomes the insert inside the card to write on.
Once I'd made the OWLS I decided to alter the templates to make a PENGIUN and then with the company of my girlfriend Anne we created a BABUSHKA DOLL as seen below.
Timeline Concertina Book
I created this little CONCERTINA BOOK for my special girlfriend to give to her mother, it's a brief TIMELINE from baby photos until now which also includes engagement and wedding photos with her husband and the birth of her children. I made this book from scratch by cutting out several pieces of cardstock 7cm x 14cm, folded them down the middle and joined them together concertina style. I then created a back and front cover by covering some chipboard 8.5 x 8.5cm with SCRAPBOOK PAPER and inserted a ribbon before joining the concertina inserts to the cover.
BLOCKING - Soccer Album
At our last craft day, I created an album for my son who had just come back from a soccer tour of Singapore & Malaysia. Below are just a few samples of how I filled the pages - depending on the amount and size of photos used, I filled the gaps by just using either plain cardstock or pattern paper to block an area. This is a quick and easy way to complete an album with not too much fuss.
