Do you ever sit down and plan to make some cards but don't have any idea where to start? Why not try typing the name of your stamp or craft punch into Google Images and see what comes up. You might be surprised that the stamp that you are planning to use has already been made into several cards and that these images can give you an idea how to use your stamp. Finding cards already made can also give you layout ideas to use with your other stamps. HAPPY STAMPING!
MOTHERS DAY GIFT IDEA
I recently had the pleasure of looking after my good friends children and with Mothers Day coming up I thought her nine year old daughter might enjoy spending some time in my CRAFT ROOM to create a book of photos for her mum while her brother happily hung out with my son. Lauren was such a joy to work with, she stamped her heart out creating wrapping paper, a special mothers day card and a concertina book of photos of her and her brother with their mum (with a little help from me). You're probably wondering where the photos came from, well being a good friend of Lauren's mum I didn't think she'd mind if I copied them off her facebook page. Thankfully this was true and she's given me permission to post them on my blog to share!
Inside Concertina (above) - Back Cover (below)
This book was made up using a front and back chipboard cover which was cut to the required size and covered in patterned paper. The inside was made up of 6 x A5 card stock folded in half and, using double sided tape, stuck together in a concertina effect then finally attached to the front and back cover.
Shadow Box Idea by Rosa
Rosa created this lovely shadow box by using a family portrait that was taken at a recent school fundraiser. All those in the photo are wearing a WHITE T-SHIRT & DENIM JEANS, this is a great way to keep the colours neutral - it's also a great way to keep the tones even if you choose to print the photo in black & white. Thanks Rosa for sharing - if you have something to share, feel free to send it along c/- gibbohome@bigpond.com
