At the recent craft marathon day I continued to work on my A-Z travel album, each double page layout has a feature page with location title and the second page has six divided sections for your photos and/or a decorative pocket - this is a really quick form of scrapbooking. The first sample in this section is the title page for the actual album.
Album protector divided into 6 sections (as seen directly below) which goes with the above Noosa layout.
I couldn't resist creating the layout below for my friend's daughter - this photo was taken on their holiday in Fiji and just had to have something special done with it. It has been happily received and was placed in a metallic silver frame.
I made several cards using wooden figures which I purchased from a discount shop - this is a great card to make when on the run.
Cake making you ask .... yes that's right, Kristy shared her cake making skills with us as she created a wedding cake which was required for Saturday - talk about cutting it fine! Well done Kristy - it was really interesting seeing how it's done.
The final craft marathon day for 2009 is this Friday 30 October. Please RSVP via gibbohome@bigpond.com if you'd like to join us as tables are limited - first in best dressed! Starts at 9am and finishes in the wee hours of Saturday morning. BYO everything which includes your craft gear, food, drink and supplies for happy hour!

SUPERIMPOSING (ie. an overlying image and/or putting one layer on top of the other) is a great way to become that celebrity you've always wanted to be, plus gives you a great photo to use on a special greeting card such as these cards. Computer software such as Adobe Photo Elements gives you the tools to create these images or, alternatively, you can cut, paste and, where possible, scan and print to get a similar result.
Check out http://www.photoshop.com/ for a test drive on different ways to edit your photos. There are lots of different and fun effects you can achieve using the online tools, such as the editing distortion tool - have you always wanted bigger breasts or a smaller nose? (Hehehe ... not me personally). Go on give it a go and please consider sharing via email any sample works for display on this webpage.
My son was invited to a HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL PARTY so I decided to make a card to match the party theme by replacing Gabriella's face with the birthday girl's.
